Yacht Upholstery, Mattress and Canvas Cleaning

Deep cleaning of seating, mattresses, curtains and canvas in place, removing stains, mould and trapped odour.

hero-thumb

Textiles on board stain and hold odour because of salt, humidity, sunscreen and seawater.

We clean seating, mattresses, curtains, carpets and exterior canvas in place without removing them, choosing products and equipment by fabric type.

Drying matters as much as washing: a mattress or canvas left with moisture inside will grow mould quickly, so controlled drying is an inseparable part of the process.

What the service covers

Steps completed in our upholstery and canvas cleaning service:

  • In-place seating and upholstery cleaning
  • Deep cleaning of beds, mattresses and cushions
  • Curtain, blind and sheer washing
  • Stain removal on carpets and floor textiles
  • Product and equipment chosen by fabric type
  • Exterior canvas, awning and bimini cleaning
  • Mould and green growth removal on canvas
  • Dedicated treatment for salt and sunscreen staining
  • Controlled drying so no moisture is left behind
  • Water-repellent protective finish on request

Process

  1. 1. Fabric identification

The fabric type of every textile surface is identified, and a small test area establishes how the product affects the colour.

  2. 2. Pre-treatment

Stains, mould and green growth are treated individually before washing begins.

  3. 3. Deep cleaning

Seating, mattresses, curtains and canvas are cleaned in place with equipment suited to the fabric. Surrounding wood and leather surfaces are protected.

  4. 4. Controlled drying and handover

Drying is carried out so no moisture is left behind, moisture levels are checked, and handover is confirmed.

Why this service?

The source of a bad smell and a tired look on board is usually the textiles, not the hard surfaces.

Mattresses, seating and canvas hold moisture and odour inside them, and surface cleaning never reaches that layer. Cleaning textiles in place with controlled drying restores the freshness of the interior for good.

Frequently asked questions about this service

Can seating and mattresses be cleaned without removing them?
Yes, we do the large majority of the work in place. In the rare cases that need removal, we tell you in advance.
How long does a cleaned mattress take to dry?
With controlled drying it is usually usable the same day. It can take longer in poorly ventilated cabins; we measure that no moisture remains before handover.
Can mouldy canvas be saved?
Largely yes, as long as the mould sits on the surface. Long-standing mould that has worked into the fibres can leave a mark, and we state the expected result clearly at inspection.
Does this include leather seating?
Leather needs a different protocol, so it is handled under our Yacht Leather, Wood & Lacquer Surface Care service. The two can be scheduled together on the same visit.
